1. The Way to the market for the WLAN Product(IEEE 802.11a/b/g)
. Regulatory Type Approval Process따른 해당 국가별 National Type Approval Certificate를 받아야 수출을 할 수 있으며 Wi-Fi Certification Program에 따른 Wi-Fi Alliance 에서의 인증을 받아야만 Wi-Fi 인증 logo를 사용할 수 있다.
2. What the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Logo Means?
. For the Final User: The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo is the gurantee that a product has met rigorous interoperability testing requirements to ensure multi-vendor interoperability
. For the Manufacturer: The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo can be the key to success in the comples and rapidly evolving Wireless LAN market.
. To obtain and display the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo, any product must follow the Wi-Fi Interoperability Test Program in an Authorized Test Laboratory selected by the Wi-Fi Alliance

3. The Wi-Fi Alliance Certification Program
Interoperability testing for products according to IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b,IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0.
- Only for Wi-Fi Alliance members
- Only the Wi-Fi Alliance may grant the Wi-Fi Certificate
- Enhancements for security, configurability and QoS following IEEE 802.11 task groups results (WPA2, WMM, WMM Power Save, Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
- For single (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) band or dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) products
4. Wi-Fi Certification Testing Services
. Wi-Fi Certification Testing of Products with WPA2, WPA and WEP
- Test Program for IEEE 802.11a (5 GHz) and/or IEEE 802.11b/g (2.4 GHz) devices.
- Test Program for IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) devices (WMM mandatory).
. Wi-Fi Re-certification Testing for failed or after Products Updates
- For tested and failed products or after the update of a Wi-Fi CERTIFIED product, a Re-certification Testing is needed to ensure that it is still multi-vendor interoperable
. Optional Certification Programs
- WMM, WMM Power Saver, Wi-Fi Protected Setup
. Wi-Fi Pre-Certification
- The Wi-Fi Certification Testing Progrms or customized testing can be applied to your products for Pre-certification purposes.
