AT4 wireless is the WiMAX Forum® Technology Competence Center and first worldwide WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory (WFDCL).
We offer a one-stop service for the certification of WiMAX™ CPEs and BSs, and provide additional key services to the WiMAX™ industry.
AT4 wireless operates from its headquarter in Malaga, Spain, and its US-based laboratory in Herndon, VA.

•2005: First WiMAXTM Testing Laboratory in the world after winning an international tender in 2005.
•2005: Technical Management and hosting of the first WiMAX Forum® Plugfest for IEEE 802.16-2004 and IEEE 802.16e-2005 by AT4 wireless and since then, hosting/co-hosting of all WiMAX Forum Plugfest.
•2006: AT4 wireless completed First Certification of Fixed WiMAX™ products.
•2007: AT4 wireless, Inc. was announced by the WiMAX Forum® as the first North America-based certification test lab in June.
•2007: AT4 wireless started collaboration with main WiMAX operators to test WiMAX devices against operators requirements.

WiMAX Testing Services |
|
|
AT4 wireless is the WiMAX Forum Lead Lab and can provide the following WiMAX testing/certification services:
. Pre-Certification Testing: The laboratory will perform a subset of tests cases prescribed by the applicable Test Plan. Specially indicated for testing during the product development process and prior to formal submission for Certification Testing.
. Certification Testing: The laboratory will perform the test cases prescribed by the applicable Test Plan for the purpose of the product to be certified by the WiMAX Forum. This involves Protocol Conformance Testing, Radio Conformance Testing and Interoperability Testing.
. Certification Retesting: The laboratory will re-test products that fail the applicable Certification Testing and products that require recertification due to a subsequent material change.
. Performance Testing: Network performance testing on demand, following Operator Requirements.
. iIOT – Interim Interoperability Tests: With real vendor infrastructure for Sprint’s Network Specifications.
Clearwire interim Inter-Operability Test iIOT
. Licensed Testing
AT4 wireless has been selected by Sprint’s XOHM™ now Clearwire business unit as its testing partner for interim Inter-Operability Test (iIOT) as part of the mobile station approval scheme of XOHM.
. End to end Testing
The XOHM device certification process includes extensive end-to-end testing within the complete WiMAX™ network, including the core network consisting of subscriber stations, base stations, ASN gateways, AAA server and HA.
. Real Network Environment Testing
AT4 wireless has replicated the Sprint XOHM core network on a micro scale in order to have the complete functionality of the deployed network, but with a limited number of base stations (2 per RAN vendor).

Carrier Specific Interoperability Testing |

|
- AT4 wireless Carrier specific interoperability testing includes an extensive end-to-end testing module within a complete WiMAX Network as required by many carriers.
- This testing infrastructure module, a state of the art fully featured WiMAX Network, includes a core network consisting of subscriber stations, base stations, ASN gateways, AAA servers and a Home Agent and which is available now at AT4 wireless WiMAX Laboratory for carrier specific performance testing and ad hoc test plans.
- The next step after Conformance testing is the performance testing according to the requirements of the operator.
